Client background and why LDM Noblesse
The client presented at Flourish Skin and Laser Clinic (Sunnybank) with rosacea-prone, reactive skin. The picture at consultation was diffuse erythema across the cheeks, flushing triggered by heat, wine and exercise, and a barrier that felt compromised after a period of over-active home-care. More aggressive resurfacing had been ruled out at the consultation stage. The client needed a treatment tier that would calm rather than stimulate.
LDM Noblesse, a Local Dynamic Micromassage platform manufactured in Germany by Wellcomet GmbH, is dual- and triple-frequency therapeutic ultrasound. The frequency oscillates rapidly between 1 MHz, 3 MHz and 10 MHz, so different depths of skin receive a mechanical micromassage within the same session. Published research on dual-frequency ultrasound has shown reductions in facial erythema in patients with rosacea, and shorter durations of swelling and bruising in post-procedural contexts. At Flourish, it sits as a maintenance-tier, barrier-supportive option, designed to support calmer skin over a course of sessions. Individual results vary.
The treatment plan
The plan was structured around a course of [CLINIC TO CONFIRM: 5-10] sessions over several weeks, with frequency settings selected by the Registered Nurse on the day based on how the skin presented. Sessions were scheduled so the barrier could settle between visits. Any concurrent active skincare (exfoliating acids, retinoids) was paused in the 24 hours either side of a session. Consent was reconfirmed at each photo capture, and captures followed the clinic’s fixed-distance, fixed-light protocol.
The journey
Week 0 began with a full skin assessment: Fitzpatrick type, rosacea triggers, topical and oral history, recent cosmetic treatments and a standardised photograph under matched studio conditions. Each subsequent session followed the same quiet rhythm: cleanse, apply a water-based coupling gel, move the handpiece slowly across the treatment zones, debrief. The sensation is warm and passive. It is not a heating or ablative treatment. There is no epidermal wound to heal, no downtime to plan around, and no immediate redness spike that clients associate with resurfacing. Across the scheduled photographs, background flushing softened, the barrier looked less reactive under the same lighting, and the texture of the central cheeks read as calmer. Deeper vascular markings remained, which was expected. Many clients on a similar maintenance plan experience a gradual settling of reactivity and improved tolerance of their usual skincare. LDM Noblesse is designed to support calmer skin, to help support microcirculation, and to support barrier function. It does not cure rosacea and is not presented as doing so. Individual results vary.

Maintenance and ongoing care
Rosacea-prone skin is a long game. Triggers do not retire. For this client, ongoing care is daily broad-spectrum SPF 50+, a ceramide-forward home routine agreed at consultation, careful management of heat exposure, and a maintenance LDM Noblesse session every [CLINIC TO CONFIRM: 4-6] weeks. Any change in the pattern of flushing, any new visible vessel, or any reaction to an in-clinic or at-home product is reviewed in clinic before the next session proceeds.
What this means for people considering LDM Noblesse
LDM Noblesse is positioned at Flourish as a gentle, medical-grade option for sensitive, rosacea-prone, melasma-prone or post-procedure skin. A course is typically required, and suitability depends on skin type, medical history, implants (pacemakers are an absolute contraindication), pregnancy and breastfeeding status, and concurrent treatments. The progression in this client’s captured photos reflects one response to one treatment plan, delivered by a Registered Nurse under controlled conditions. Your skin and response will be different.
